Instructions for connecting to UIUC AnyWare

Connect through Citrix Workspace (recommended)

VPN is NOT REQUIRED to connect to UIUC AnyWare. 

  1. Download and install the Citrix Workspace application from http://www.citrix.com/go/receiver

  2. After installation the Citrix Workspace application should launch automatically. Input 'uiucanyware.cloud.com' without quotes in the server address field and select 'Add'.

  3. When the login screen appears, input your NetID and campus AD password

    • Note: The slash in the username field is a backslash ( \ ) not a forward slash.

  4. Select the 'Desktops' tab to view available remote desktop environments.

  1. Navigate to https://uiucanyware.cloud.com/ in your browser of choice

  2. When the login screen appears, input your NetID and campus AD password

    • Note: You will be prompted to detect and/or install the Citrix Workspace app upon logging in. This is not required, but for the best experience we recommend using the Citrix Workspace app. To proceed in the browser, you can click the link that reads: "Use web browser"

  3. Select the 'Desktops' tab to view available remote desktop environments.
