How can I understand more about COVID-19 testing and eligibility on the UIUC campus?
The University of Illinois, at Urbana-Champaign is now performing its new rapid, saliva-based COVID-19 test.
All university faculty, staff and students participating in any on-campus activities are required to participate in the on-campus COVID-19 testing program. An effective testing program is a crucial part of minimizing the spread of COVID-19.
Q: Is there a cost for the test?
A: The test is free.
Q: Who is eligible for COVID-19 testing on campus?
A: Presently, the test is only available to current students, faculty, staff and retirees at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign who have active NetIDs.

Q: How do affiliates or sponsored accounts use the Safer Illinois app?
A: Customers who are in 'affiliate' groups should still receive their results in the Safer Illinois app. They can use Safer Illinois, they will login with their NetID and password. Participation in the affiliate program does not include an exchange account and members will access a personal email address for their McKinley results. Questions should be referred back to their sponsor.
Q: Is an exchange account required to participate in an affiliate sponsored program?
A: Participation in the affiliate program does not include an exchange account. NetID, password, and visitor card is all they need for COVID testing.
Q: Where are the testing locations?
A: A number of free on-campus COVID-19 walk-up testing locations are available.
