Identity Management, Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Changes
What's Changing?
Starting March 10, 2025, there will be a change to the multi-factor authentication (MFA) system. This change aims to enhance both security and user experience.
Current Process: Users are automatically redirected to complete authentication with Duo after entering their password.
New Process: After entering their password, users will encounter an additional prompt. Clicking "Continue" will allow them to authenticate with Duo as usual. See the screenshot below:

Want to set up Microsoft Authenticator app?

The Microsoft Authenticator app is available on iOS and iPadOS (15.0 or later) as well as Android (8.0 and later).

Download the app and add this method via https://aka.ms/mfasetup.

You will need to perform MFA before you can add a method, so you can use Duo here.

- Already have Microsoft Authenticator app?
After registering with the Microsoft Authenticator, you will see the screen below. Click on the "Other ways to sign in" link to use the Microsoft Authenticator.

After clicking on "Other ways to sign in," select the option "Approve a request on my Microsoft Authenticator app."
