Webstore, Autodesk keeps asking for license manager

Why does my Autodesk software keep asking for the license manager and never startup?

The solution provided below is relevant for versions 2016 and older of the Austodesk software.

This is most often caused by not choosing the network license type and specifying the name of the license server during the installation. The solution to this problem is to do a clean uninstall of the software and then reinstall it making the correct license choices.

To perform a clean uninstall.
1. First, uninstall the program through the Windows Control Panel.

2. Then run the Microsoft Install/Uninstall Fixit utility and try to uninstall again:


3.  If you are having licensing issues, you can remove the licensing storage file as well. If you are not dealing with licensing errors, removing this file may be unnecessary. Remove the Trusted Storage file (Licensing). It is located in these areas:

4.  Delete any residual Program Files from these locations:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\
C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\
C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\
C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Local\Autodesk\

The program folders should be clearly named.

Clean out your TEMP files. 
1.) Click the Windows Start button.
2.) In the Run box type %TEMP% and press Enter
3.) Highlight and delete all files. Ignore any files in use.
