The full computer name is available on the system properties window.  On computer keyboards that have a "Pause" key (usually located near the number pad), you may use a shortcut to open the window: Windows key + Pause.

1. Press and hold down the Windows key.
2. While holding down the Windows Key, press the Pause key.
3. Once the System window opens, release both the Windows and Pause keys.

The full computer name is located in the "Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings" section.

If the keyboard does not have a Pause key, follow these instructions:

Windows 10 and 11

1. Select Start, then click on Settings.
2. Select System, then scroll down and select About.
3. The "Full device name" will be displayed near the top.
• The full device name is formatted as ComputerName.ad.uillinois.edu.
