Kaltura, Upload Captions for a Video

In addition to requesting captions through Mediaspace, you can can also upload a captions file prepared offline.
Kaltura recognizes two formats: SubRip (.srt) and Timed Text Markup Language (.ttml or .dfxp).  This text file will need to have accurate time codes indexed to your video.  

  1. Edit properties of the video in question.

  2. Click on the Captions Tab.

    Click on the Captions Tab. Then click on the Upload Captions button.

  3. Click on the "Upload Captions file" button.  This will launch a dialog box.  Browse to the file.  Choose a language.  You can also enter a label.  
  4. Click Save.  

You can also download captions files already associated with your video from this tab.
