Zoom, Optional Zoom Features?

Additional Zoom functionality and features.

Most Zoom users can rely on the web interface for creating/joining meetings and configuring their profile.

A free Desktop Client is available that makes meeting and webinar management more convenient for those hosting frequent sessions.

A free Outlook Add-in is available that allows you to schedule Zoom meetings from within Outlook.

Meetings up to 100 participants can be scheduled by anyone with a Basic or Pro account. Basic-hosted meetings are limited to 40 minutes. Pro-hosted meetings are limited to 24 hours.

If you have a need for meetings with up to 500 or 1000 participants, Large Meeting, Webinar and Conference Room connectors are available at an additional expense, contact WebStore@illinois.edu for pricing. For extremely large events, consider live streaming to reduce cost and bandwidth requirements.

Zoom Rooms provide ‘one-touch’ meeting functionality and require a dedicated computer.
