iSchool: Digital Signage Policy

Learn how to have an announcement displayed on the digital signage in the east foyer at 501 E. Daniel.

These templates may be used for displaying School events and announcements on the digital sign in the east foyer of 501 E. Daniel St. and on the digital signs on the 4th and 5th floors of 614 E. Daniel St. The file contains several options to meet your needs; simply delete the ones you do not wish to use. If a template is not used, the artwork must include iSchool branding (wordmark).

iSchool Digital Signage Policy

iSchool faculty, staff, and students may promote School- and University-related events on the digital sign in the east foyer of 501 E. Daniel St. and on the digital signs on the 4th and 5th floors of 614 E. Daniel St. We will also accept event-related submissions from other campus units and campus organizations, if we determine that the submission has a broad appeal to the iSchool community. Priority will first be given to iSchool announcements and events.

Specifications for making a sign

Please make sure the dimensions of the artwork you submit follow our specifications, or it will not be posted. Graphics must be 1920 x 1080 in size. We can accept JPEG or PNG file formats. Please do not send PDF or Powerpoint files. School events and announcements must include the iSchool wordmark. You may download this template to create your sign (opens as a PowerPoint file). When exporting your file as an image, set the width to 1920 and the height to 1080 and save as JPEG or PNG. All graphics are subject to approval by the iSchool Communications and Marketing team.

Submitting your sign

Please use the iSchool Digital Signage Upload Form to submit the image for your sign. Slides promoting an event must be submitted at least three workdays before the event or may not be uploaded to the digital screens.

Tips for designing a sign

  • Limit the use of small text.
  • Sans-serif typefaces (e.g., Arial, Helvetica, Verdana) are the easiest to read.
  • Only include event basics; do not go into great detail.
  • Add a link to a website or other source for details.
  • Your submission may not include any copyrighted images or text without permission.
