Student Group Tech Support

A guide for student groups needing tech support at the iSchool.

Student Group Tech How-To Guide Introduction

If you’re planning on having a meeting within the iSchool for a student group, organization, etc., we are here to help you with your technology needs.

Here’s a checklist of things to make sure you have done before you schedule a meeting:

  1. Schedule your meeting room with the front office (room 112, 217-333-3280)
  2. Fill out an AV Request form here: https://illinois.edu/fb/sec/4048732
  3. Let us know if anything changes.

Additional Information

To guarantee you have the help and tech you need:

To ensure that you have the equipment and assistance you need when you need it, make sure to fill out an AV Tech Assistance Request form here!

If you need Help Desk support for set-up:

We are available to assist if the meeting is Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm or if you are willing to come in early to do a run-through. We are more than happy to walk you through any potential questions that you may have.

If you need to borrow equipment from the Help Desk, please request it using the AV form listed above in advance as all of our equipment is first come, first served. If you put in advance notice to us, we can make sure to have the equipment available for your use. It is important to note that some equipment is not available to check out overnight.

Is your meeting going later than 5pm?

No worries! We are still in the building Monday-Thursday until 9pm. If you need us to pick up the equipment within those hours, just let us know!

Having issues but the Help Desk is closed?

Again, not a problem! If it is between Monday and Thursday before 9pm, we are still in the building monitoring online courses. You can easily reach us if you are having technology issues by messaging us @ Tech Chat: https://ischoolresources.web.illinois.edu/
