Room 126: Using the Built-in Connection for Laptops

An overview of selecting the laptop option from the control panel in Room 126.

The steps for using your own laptop to connect to the built-in technology in Room 126 is outlined below.

1. Connect both cables from the desk drawer that faces the podium. You can use the cables with or without their attached adapter, but you do need to plug in both.

2. Select Use a Laptop (1) from the main screen of the control panel then select HDMI.

3. Press the Controls to Laptop (2) button on the side of the control panel. Until you do this your laptop will not be fully connected to the room.

4. Once you are in your meeting, click the caret next to Audio and ensure that your selected microphone is Microphone (2- Converge USB) and that your selected speaker is PT-RZ570 (3- HD Audio Driver for Display Audio).

5. Click the caret next to Video and ensure that your selected camera is one of the two PTZ Pro 2 choices. The first option is the presenter camera and the second is the audience camera.

Note: if you do not see either PTZ camera selection or the Converge USB microphone, check that the camera USB cable is connected securely to your laptop and the Controls to Laptop button is highlighted on the control panel. It is recommended to test the speakers & microphone once you’ve confirmed the settings.
