Zoom: Inviting Attendees

How to Invite Attendees to Zoom Meetings.

Once you have a meeting scheduled, you can invite others to join.

Invite from Illinois Zoom's website

  1. From the Meetings page of the Illinois Zoom, select your scheduled meeting.
  2. If you use Outlook, you can select Outlook Calendar(.ics) under Time.
  3. This will generate a .ics file that you can open and import to your Outlook calendar.
  4. Once you have the .ics file imported, you can start inviting your attendees as a normal meeting.

Alternatively, you can manually copy the meeting invitation by clicking the text that says Copy Invitation and paste it in your email to the attendees.

Invite from the Zoom software

  1. After starting the software and signing in, select Meetings from the top panel.
  2. You can now manually copy the invitation link and paste it into an email or anywhere you would like.

Inviting from a meeting

  1. If you are currently in a meeting and would like to invite people to join, you can go to the top left corner of your screen and click the shield icon which will open your meeting information.
  2. Then, under the Invite Link portion of the meeting, you can click Copy Link and share the link with attendees.
    1. Additionally this is a location where you can find your meeting passcode if a participant is trying to find it.
