KB User's Guide - General Info - Remove Document Information Table

NoteInformation symbol

You must have full administrative permissions in your space to perform these steps. This means access to the OwnerDocs, GroupDocs, SitePref, and Users tabs.

This document will explain how a KB Group Admin can hide the Document Information Table from view on their KB Live Site(s). This guide explains how to remove the table from the entire KB space or from a single KB document.

The Document Information Table summarizes basic information about KB document data. See KB User's Guide - Documents Tab - Document Information Table Live Site for more information.

The image below shows an example of a Document Information Table at the bottom of a document on a KB Live Site.

Remove Document Information Table from an entire KB space:

  1. Navigate to the KB Admin tools of the desired space, then to the SitePref tab

Screenshot of KB admin tools top bar, SitePref Highlighted

  2. Click on the FullView Layout/CSS link on the left sidebar and go to the internal site custom CSS field (external site custom CSS field if you want to update your external site)

Site Preferences Sidebar, FullView Layout/CSS tab highlighted

  3. Click to expand the appropriate panel, Internal Site Non-Landing Page Layout / CSS or External Site Non-Landing Page Layout / CSS. Note that field names and screenshots below depict a change to an internal site CSS.  Select the appropriate field from the Internal site custom CSS dropdown menu:  None, Internal site custom CSS One, Internal site custom CSS Two, etc.

Best Practices: if you have custom CSS applied to your KB space, append the code that is already in place. If you have no CSS applied to your KB Space, select an unpopulated Internal site custom CSS X field. (example: Internal site custom CSS Two is in use, code appended)
