How to join and control Zoom or WebEx meetings from the Control Panel in rooms with Cisco Codecs: 367 CMET and 316 CMWT
Certain COM meeting rooms have built-in cameras and microphones that can directly join WebEx or Zoom. There are several ways to connect to share content to the meeting. Refer to the pages on how to start Web Conferences for the room you are using (367 CMET or 316 CMWT or 2175 COMRB) to learn about basic functionality before following the steps below to connect to your meeting.
Use the Touch Control Panel to dial the meeting directly
- After you have successfully dialed into the meeting, you will be prompted to input a password.
NOTE: for Zoom meetings, this is NOT the "regular" password generated at the top of your meeting invitation, which may include special characters. To connect with the Control Panel, you must use the numeric passcode that is found both in the "Join by Telephone" and "Join from a Room System" parts of the longer Zoom invitation as shown below. - When you have joined a Zoom meeting, it is possible that video and audio may be muted by default.
Press "1" on the numeric dial pad of the Control Panel to access the Zoom menu controls.
A numeric menu will appear on the screen. Below is an image showing a version of this Zoom control menu, though the options are out of date. Here is the Zoom help page with all the current menu options for Zoom controls with the numeric dial pad.
When you have confirmed that the other participants can hear you, mute/unmute in Zoom and mute/unmute with the physical mics on the table work together: room lights and mics turn red when muted, green when unmuted. - Return to the guide about a particular room for details about room use and ending a meeting:
- 367 CMET
- 316 CMWT
