Equipment - Classrooms - 227 - Using the Podium System

To provide users with a guide on how to utilize CMWT 227's podium system for local presentations

On the Crestron touchscreen, touch anywhere to load up the podium system. A countdown will shortly appear and disappear when load up is completed.

 NOTE: The projectors will NOT turn on automatically upon startup.


VIDEO

To present in this room, select Presentation on the left section under the UIC logo. Press and drag the desired source into each projector needed as well as the preview monitor.

If presentation material is on a thumb drive, connect your thumb drive utilizing the available USB port. This is to be used either on the Room PC (PC Primary/Secondary) or Room Mac (Mac Primry/Secondary)

If you are not using a room computer, connect your laptop either using the provided HDMI or USB-C cable (depending on your laptop’s available connections). To display the laptop on the projectors, be sure to utilize the source labeled “Laptop” from the list of options.

AUDIO

This room has 5 microphones for use. 1 Lavalier (LAV), 1 Podium, and 3 handheld wireless microphones.

Volume for the room is already optimized. In the event volume needs to be adjusted, it can be done using menu labeled Microphone Control.

Speaker volume is already optimized for the room. If volume needs to be adjusted, use the master volume control at the top next to the UIC logo.

EXITING INSTRUCTIONS

Prior to exiting the room, please be sure to shut down the podium system. This will ensure that everything that does not need to be on after your class/presentation is turned off. In the top right corner, press “System OFF” and confirm that you want to shutdown by pressing the green “Yes, Shutdown” button. DO NOT shut down the room PC.

You will see a progress screen pop up to indicate that the shutdown process has been started.
