A summary of accessing AuthMan via API
AuthMan supports Grouper's API, a REST-like interface over HTTPS. The reference documenatation for the Grouper API is available on the Grouper API Wiki page.
In order to integration with the Web Services API, a special API account needs to be provisioned by IAM. Please send requests in to email@example.com. A custom AD user and password will be provided. Authentication is through traditional web basic authentication over HTTPS.
API accounts have no special permissions by default and must be added to the delegated folder admins security group, this is usually in the "urb:app:appname:security:appname Admins" where appname is the delegated folder name.
Sub functions can be appended on the end of the URL, and support both GET and POST methods, see the Grouper API documentation for more details.
AuthMan Grouper Web Services supports API versions v2.5 and previous. Previous API versions can be specified in the URL by changing the /v2_5_000 to the appropriate major/minor version.
