Gies Alumni - What to Expect and Prepare for

When you leave the University of Illinois and the Gies College of Business, you bring your knowledge and experiences with you, but you also leave some things behind. We've put together a quick guide to help you prepare for your next steps, including what resources you will continue to have access to, and those you will not.

The first thing you need to be aware of is that people will look at you differently – it’s because our alumni glow with Illini pride!

Beyond that, here are some services you'll have access to following your graduation. See the link at the end for more details.

Box – You can access your Box account for one calendar year after your graduation date.

Workplace – Alumni and students have full and unrestricted access to Workplace. Log in using your @illinois.edu address. If you have any issues with your access contact Workplace support:

Once your student affiliation has expired, you will not be able to use these services. Please note that your student affiliation will expire approximately 1 year after your last registered semester, regardless of your graduation date. For example, if you last registered for classes in the Fall of 2020 but your graduation date was summer 2020, your affiliation will end in Fall 2021.
