Business Objects - EDDIE - Database Error: ORA-01017: Invalid Username/Password; Logon Denied. (IES 10901) (WIS 10901)
I am receiving a "Database error: ORA-01017:invalid username/password; logon denied. (IES 10901) (WIS 10901)" message when attempting to run or create a custom report in EDDIE/BusinessObjects.
The "Database error: ORA-01017:invalid username/password; logon denied. (IES 10901) (WIS 10901)" and the "Database error: ORA-28000: the account is locked. (IEW 10901) (WIS 10901) occurs when your EDDIE/Business Objects and Oracle passwords may be out of sync.
To reset your Business Objects/EDDIE password, go to the EDDIE password reset application. Login with your Enterprise ID and password. This will reset both the EDDIE and Oracle passwords. You can also navigate to the reset application as followed:
- Go to EDDIE website
- Under Additional Resources, click - Change EDDIE Password
- Enter your Enterprise ID and password and click Login (If you do not know your Enterprise ID and password, please contact the AITS Service Desk at 217-333-3102 (Urbana or Springfield) or 312-996-4806 (Chicago)
- Click Reset Password at the bottom of this screen
- Create a new password and verify (The strong password rules are printed to the right of the password boxes. The rules are in red and will turn green when the criteria is met. After all the rules have been met the reset password button will be enabled turn black)
- Click Reset Password
