Cannot Log into SharePoint Using (Firefox for Mac)

Mac OSX users of Firefox are unable to log into SharePoint, either being repeatedly prompted for credentials or arriving at a blank screen. This document provides workarounds to allow Firefox to work with SharePoint.

After upgrading to Firefox (Mozilla) version 30 or version 37, Mac users either receive a blank screen when attempting to authenticate to Microsoft SharePoint or are repeatedly asked to provide login credentials.

To fix this, open Firefox and enter about:config in the URL address bar.

Look for the following property and set it to true:
network.auth.force-generic-ntlm-v1
If this property cannot be found, look for this property and set it to true:
network.negotiate-auth.allow-insecure-ntlm-v1-https
