The information containing your name comes from NESSIE. To change your name in the Active Directory system, do the following:

Staff need to go through Campus Human Resources by filling out a form located in NESSIE: https://nessie.uihr.uillinois.edu/cf/info/index.cfm?Item_id=1125&rlink=1074 Students need to follow the instructions located in the Enterprise Applications Student and Faculty Staff Self Service tool: https://apps.uillinois.edu/selfservice/
The new information should be reflected in the global address list within 1-2 weeks.
