Backup, Technology Services Enterprise Backup Maintenance
For IT Pros: This page discusses the maintenance schedule for the Technology Services Enterprise Backup service.
We perform scheduled maintenance to the Technology Services Enterprise Backups servers in the following maintenance window:
Mon - Fri: 12p - 4p
Sat - Sun: 10a - 4p
We give our customers as much notice as possible on all scheduled maintenance. Maintenance is scheduled during the day to allow system backups to proceed during the night and to allow TSM database/tape reclamation processing to take place during the morning hours. In most cases, during scheduled maintenance, you can check the Enterprise Backups Events page for status updates. Because we never know when one of our customers may need to restore their data, we try to minimize downtime during all scheduled maintenance and outages.
If you want to perform a restore during the system maintenance window
All planned maintenance (during the maintenance window) will be announced on the mailing list, and also can be found on the Status Page. If you receive errors when attempting a restore during the day check the status page first to see if there is any scheduled maintenance.
If Technology Services Enterprise Backups is experiencing a long or unexpected outage
Check the Status Page for status updates during any long or unexpected outage. You can also contact the Technology Services Data Center for status updates. Outages will also be posted the the TSM mailing list -- visit the Enterprise Backup mailing list page for more information.
