Security, Antivirus, McAfee VirusScan, 1303 Installation Error

Each time I try to install the program, I receive error 1303: "The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\VirusScan Enterprise..."

  1. Make sure you are logged into Windows as an account with Administrator privileges.
  2. Uninstall any previously installed versions of McAfee.
  3. Run the "McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool" linked from http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS101331
  4. Run the McAfee VirusScan Enterprise installer, which is available from the WebStore.
