UIC Connect - University Portal - Error - Attention Redirect URL Not Supplied
There are several reasons you may receive an error when tying to log into the portal. If you receive an error, please follow the steps listed below,:
When I try to log into the portal, I receive the error Attention! Redirect URL not supplied.
There's an issue with UIC Bluestem.
UIC Bluestem was allowing NetIDs through with capital letters. Some students were capitalizing the first letter or some part of their NetIDs. When the student goes to click on a Self-Service link, the portal was allowing the NetID to go though (ex. Trnelson), but EAS does NOT allow any capital letters, so it was giving the Redirect error.
ACCC appears to have fixed this problem and UIC Bluestem should now transform all NetIDs into lowercase.
This error can also happen because there is a timeout limit that has been implemented as a security measure. If a student is logged into the portal, but hasn't had any activity within half an hour, it will time out, causing the single sign-on to Banner Self-Service not to work. This was done so that if a student happens to be logged in at a computer lab and walks away without logging out, they will get logged out automatically. The student should be able to log back in again.
If logging back in does not work, please open a new Internet Explorer web browser and go to the Enterprise Applications website and click on student and faculty self-service. Then click on your campus and enter your enterprise ID and password. You should be able to get to the menu from there.
