Security, Antivirus, McAfee, Conflicts with email client

McAfee VirusScan seems to be conflicting with my email client. It takes an extremely long time to download mail and sometimes is prevented entirely.

If McAfee VirusScan is conflicting with your email client, do the following to solve the problem:

1. Right click vshield icon in the system tray.
2. Select "On-access Scanner Properties..."
3. Click on the "All Processes" icon in left menu.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Uncheck "decode MIME encoded files" in the Compressed Files section.
6. Click "Apply" or "OK".
