Networking, Contacts Database, How do I gain access?
To gain access to Contacts Database (CDB), you will need to work with your department's IT Professional (IT Pro) staff. They will be able to request access for you to log in.
How do I gain access to Contacts Database (CDB)?
In addition to being able to log in to view information, there are different levels of permission that may be granted. Generally, your IT Pro will manage these permissions.
- Change Contacts - Anyone with this set to "Yes" is able to add/change contacts for the item(s) they have this permission.
- DNS Requests - Anyone with this set to "Yes" is able to modify DNS entries through the IPAM (IP Address Management) service.
- ISS Requests - This allows an IT Pro to request a security scan by Technology Services Privacy and Information Security.
- IRIS - "Read Only" allows log in to IRIS to view information . "Read/Write" allows IT Pros to make changes to switch ports for Tech Services managed switches (only on networks for which the IT Pro is responsible).
