On this page, you can learn how to upload and share files with your meeting participants in Lync Web App.
Upload an attachment
If you’re a presenter, you can share documents and images with other meeting participants. You upload them to the meeting content area, and participants download and save them to their computers.
- Point to the Share icon, click the ATTACHMENTS tab, and click Add Attachment.
- In the Select the file you want to upload dialog box, click Browse to search for the file you want to attach.
- Click the file, and then click Open.
After the attachment is uploaded, a notification is displayed to all meeting participants with options to open or save the attachment.
Download an attachment
- Click Open in the notification, and in the Attachments dialog box, click Save As.
- Select a location to save the file, and then click Save.
TIP: Another way to open the Attachments dialog box is to point to the sharing icon, and click ATTACHMENTS > Manage Attachments.
More about attachments
If you’re a presenter, you can manage all uploaded attachments from the Attachments dialog box. Point to the Share icon, click the ATTACHMENTS tab, and then click Manage Attachments. Now you can do any of the following:
To assign permissions to an attachment, click Permissions under the attachment and then click Presenters or Everyone.
To rename an attachment, click Rename under the attachment, type a new name for the attachment, and then click OK.
To remove an attachment, click Remove under the attachment, and click Yes to confirm removing it.
To save an attachment, click Save As. In the notification, click Save to download the file to the Downloads folder on your computer. If you want to save the file to a different location, click the arrow next to Save in the notification, and then click Save as. Select a location to save the file, specify a different name for the file if you want, and then click Save.
