Email, Exchange, Leaving or Deprovisioning

What happens to my Exchange email when I leave the University?

People who have Exchange mailboxes that are separating/graduating (but not retiring) from the University will lose access to their mailbox after a period of time.  The trigger to delete Exchange mailboxes is the following:

·      Your Active Directory account has been disabled more than 30 days

·      You have an Exchange mailbox

Mailboxes meeting this criteria will be deleted on a monthly basis (usually on the 20th). 

Mailboxes can be reconnected for up to 120 days after deletion by submitting a request to the Help Desk.

Retirees will not have their mailboxes deleted.
