ATLAS CMS - Setting up a menu

Learn to set up a navigation menu for your website with ATLAS CMS

To establish a menu for our site, let's go to the Menu Manager that lives underneath Pages in the side navigation.

It'll look something like this:

site menu manager initial view

We can see here that we have a list of Menu Pages (currently blank) and Excluded Pages.

Before we start moving Menu items, let's name our menu by clicking the Edit Menu Name option.

Now that our menu has a name - let's move some menu items from Excluded Pages to Menu Pages.

We can accomplish this by clicking and then dragging the item between the spaces.

As currently listed, everything in the Menu Pages will appear as separate menu items on our website.

However, if we'd like to nest one menu item into another - that's an option as well.

Here, for example, we can place Contact within the About menu item to organize our site structure.

Now we can see that Contact is contained within the About menu item - this could display in a variety of ways on the website, but here we have established the hierarchy.

To save all of the changes to our new menu - hit the Update Menu button on the bottom of the screen.
