ATLAS CMS - Edit Page tab choices
Learn to navigate the various tab options in the Edit Page area of ATLAS CMS.
To view the various options we have in edit mode - let's select a page to edit, then click the tab titled Meta.
In the Meta tab, we will establish the Meta Title and Meta Description for use in the browser.
This information, depending on the browser, can display on search engine results pages.
Next, let's look at some Options:
First, we can select a couple of Search Engine options.
We can allow the search engine to index the page, making the page available for discovery through the search engine.
We can also allow the search engine to follow links on this page - meaning links from our page will earn hits for those sites.
Let's take a quick look at Who can view this page:
This is where we set which people can view our website.
- Any Visitor - applies to any and all users with internet connection.
- With a valid NetID - allows any user with a NetID to enter that and view the page.
- Visitors with specific NetIDs or in AD groups - allows us to stipulate who can view the page by entering the appropriate NetIDs or AD groups. Only those stipulated users or AD groups will have access to the page.
Security, as opposed to who can view the webpage, stipulates user privileges or restrictions within ATLAS CMS.
In this way, we can have others help us with our content or reviewing.
We simply add the netID or Group Name, and then we can select permissions for the user.
Hitting confirm will save those changes.
