Security, P2P Infringement Violations

I received a notification of a copyright violation, what do I need to do?

There are three types of incidents involving P2P violations.

A student in the residence halls, which is handled by the Dean of Students for Housing .
A student on campus, but not in the residence halls, which is handled by the Office of Student Conflict Resolution .
Staff and Faculty are directed to the head of their department for disciplinary action.

Cases that involve students may result in a network access block for the affected user until the appropriate office resolves the incident. Normally no block is put in place for cases involving faculty or staff.
