ATLAS CMS - Permissions Report
Learn to navigate the Site Permissions Report with ATLAS CMS
To get to the Site Permissions Report, click on Users in the lefthand navigation - then select Permissions Report.
Let's begin by looking at the Group Permissions Report:
First let's note the badges - these apply to both the Group Permissions as well as Users Permissions.
The badges represent the level of permissions selected by the site administrator.
Let's 'view full report' for validADgroup.
We can now see permissions that were directly assigned to these group members by the administrator.
In the user list we can see more clearly how the badges can help us as our team grows.
To get a better idea of the sitewide permissions - let's 'view full report' for the site administrator.
Here we see more options than when viewing the AD group perms.
Since the admin had permissions directly assigned and is also a member of validADgroup - they have multiple sets of permissions.
Even though the user can't 'Approve Staged Pages' through their validADgroup membership, they have been directly assigned this permission.
As such, their Effective Permissions will display the aggregate of permissions across pertinent group memberships and those directly assigned.
Michelle Obama only has access to the site through her validADgroup membership.
Let's see what this looks like when we 'view full report.'
