Kaltura, Difference between playlists and channels

What is the difference between a playlist and a channel?

A playlist is a collection of media that can be shared within a single player outside of Illinois Media Space. A channel is a collection of media that is shared with specific users on Media Space.

Please note that YouTube videos do not have the same options available as media uploaded to Kaltura.  This media can be added to playlists and channels.
