Accessing your 1098-T tax form

Information regarding who receives a 1098-T and how to download & print the document.

The 1098-T is a U.S. Tax document.

The University of Illinois will deliver your completed IRS Form 1098-T to you electronically every year you have a reportable transaction.  If you are a non-resident alien, the 1098-T is not automatically issued to you.  Non-resident aliens must contact USFSCO Customer Service to request a 1098-T.

Students - To view and print your Form 1098-T:

  1. Log into Student Self Service;
  2. Select Account Billing Information;
  3. Select 1098-T Tax Information;
  4. Select Tax Year;
  5. To print, use your browser’s Print function.

Parents - To view and print your student's Form 1098-T:

Ask your student to use the instructions above to provide you with their 1098-T.  If you are set up as an Authorized Payer on their student billing account, you can contact USFSCO Customer Service via email to ask for a copy.
