Overview

Whether you utilize Apple Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, this article provides steps to add Exchange Resource calendars to your Mac computer.

Impacted Systems

Affected Customers

  • Clients needing to access Exchange Resource calendars

Apple Calendar

  • Open Apple Calendar
  • choose Calendar from upper left then Preferences
  • select Accounts then find your Exchange account from left sidebar
  • Select the Delegation tab
  • Click on the plus symbol
  • In the field that opens, enter the name of the calendar and wait for the account list to appear
  • Select the desired account from the list
  • check the Show checkbox to the left of the calendar name so that events will be visible in Calendar
  • The calendar should now appear in your sidebar, although it may take a little while for it to completely synchronize with the Exchange server and all events to show up

Outlook 2011 for Mac (Version 14)

  • Select Calendar in your Outlook sidebar
  • Click on the Open Calendar button in the toolbar
  • Click on the address book icon, enter the name of the calendar, and click Find
  • Select the desired account from the list and click OK
  • Make sure Type is set to Calendar and click OK
  • The calendar should now appear in your sidebar, although it may take a little while for it to completely synchronize with the Exchange server and all events to show up

Outlook for Mac (Version 15.3)

  • Select the Calendar icon in your Outlook sidebar
  • Click on the Open Shared Calendar button in the toolbar
  • Click on the Search For a Person... text field, type the person name, or the name of the calendar
  • Select the desired account from the list and click Open
  • The calendar should now appear in your sidebar, although it may take a little while for it to completely synchronize with the Exchange server and all events to show up
