Digital Signage, Cannot view properties of locations and/or players
This KB article details why certain users are not able to view/edit digital signage locations and/or players in Four Winds Interactive versions 5.3 and later as implemented by the Illinois Digital Signage Service and what to do if such abilities are required.
Before the implementation of FWi (Four Winds Interactive) version 5.3 and a shared database model, many users were accustomed to having full access to view and edit all properties within the system. With the implementation of the shared database model, this access more restricted to prevent accidental changes/deletions to important settings.
Users who receive a message such as, “You don’t have sufficient permissions to edit the properties for…” but have the need to do so should contact their departmental digital signage coordinator or the Digital Signage Service Team at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll be glad to investigate the issue for you.
