Cannot login to Blackboard (New UIC User)

Process for manually creating a Blackboard new user account

If the user cannot log into Blackboard and is a new to UIC, most likely, their Blackboard account was never created because the user never set a common password to their ACCC NetID. For students, this is commonly done during orientation.

In order to have the user set their common password for the first time, please have them go to either C-Stop BSB or C-Stop SCW for assistance. Note: This must be done in person and the user must present a valid I-Card.

After setting their common password, their Blackboard account normally gets automatically created. However, if the user still has an issue, have them follow these steps to manually create their Blackboard account:

1. Go to accountportal.accc.uic.edu
2. Log in with ACCC NetID and common password
3. Select "Blackboard" from list of accounts
4. Click "Create account"

If the user again reports an issue creating the Blackboard account as instructed above, then have them to email: consult@uic.edu.
