Kaltura, Public channels
Managers of channels can now make them public.
Like public galleries, which all appear in the menus in the header of mediaspace.illinois.edu, public channels will be available to anyone visiting the site, even if they cannot log in.
Public channels will appear for everyone in the header menu under the "channels" menu. In most cases, the easiest way to share a public channel would be to copy the URL of and share it with users.
To make a channel public, Edit the channel, and under the Details tab, choose the "Public" option under Privacy.
Any user (including students) who is logged in can post media to a public channel. It's a good idea to set the channel to "moderate content" under Options, so that managers will be be asked to approve any media posted to the channel by non-members.
