What is my NetID?

Your Network ID (NetID) is a network login assigned to you that is unique across all University of Illinois campuses. It serves as your login to many University computing and networking services.

Everyone at UIC needs to have a UIC NetID and an ACCC common password.  It allows you:

  • To use various secured or personalized UIC and University of Illinois services.
  • To use the UIC portal page
  • Students need a UIC NetID and an ACCC common password to get an Enterprise ID, which is required to register.
  • To use any ACCC service: email, UIC-WiFi, personal computer labs and printers, and storage space for personal web pages.
Activate your UIC NetID. If your NetID is already activated, the activation process will display your NetID.
Student NetIDs are automatically assigned when a student is admitted to UIC (based on first initial and last name). Faculty and staff NetIDs are created by Phonebook contacts in the respective unit.
