Purchasing: What are the different roles in Purchasing?
The purchasing application is broken down by area of responsibilities. So purchasing, inventory, and “receiving” are given permission to execute the tasks that relate to their areas.
difference between the "receive" and the "receiving"
Some personnel that are in the purchasing areas feel they should be able to receive as well. So in order to give them limited abilities to receive items we created “receive”. It enables the "receive items" radio button, giving access to mark items as received.
"Purchasing(s)" should be given to anyone that physically is purchasing items as part of a business office. "Purchases" can be given to anyone to "proxy" another user to make purchases.
