Endpoint Services, Workspace ONE, MacOS 10.14 Global Profile for Workspace ONE
This article describes the need for a new custom Workspace ONE profile for MacOS 10.14 Mojave.
Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)
University of Illinois IT Pros leveraging Technology Services Endpoint Service Workspace ONE UEM for MacOS 10.14.
In macOS 10.14 Mojave, Apple has introduced enhancements for user data protection and privacy. Due to this security enhancement, apps and processes may now trigger dialogs for the end-user to allow or disallow functionality. To continue allowing agent functionality with no disruption to the end-user, a whitelisting profile may be installed to only MacOS 10.14 devices which are User Approved MDM Enrolled.
Please note: the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub agent 4.0.0 is the latest released version and is compatible with macOS 10.14 alongside this profile. If future versions of the Agent require updates to this profile, we will publish them accordingly. Furthermore, the next version of the Workspace ONE Console will have this profile automatically seeded so you will not have to create it. Please look out for this in coming release notes.
Workspace ONE has advised us to create a custom global profile to turn on full functionality. If the profile is not supplied to the MacOS 10.14 system, you will not be able to manage most items with Workspace ONE. We have created this profile and applied it at the Global level.
If you would prefer to create your own profile, we can exclude your Workspace ONE site from the global profile that allows for full management. If you do wish to be excluded, please click here
to submit an Endpoint Services support request. After logging in, select the Workspace ONE service and request type 'Support' to generate a CA help request, and a member of the EPS Workspace ONE team will assist you.
