EDDIE/Web Intelligence Rich Client - Prompt Variants

You can save a group of often-used variable value sets as a prompt variant to be used again in future refreshes without having to enter the prompt values again.

In order to create a prompt variant for a document, the query must have been run and the document saved.

Prompt variants are document and user specific, meaning your prompt variants cannot be used by others, and cannot be used in other documents.

• When refreshing your document, enter the prompt values you want to save and click the Create New Variant icon in the top left corner.

• The Create Variant window appears. Name the variant and select which of the prompt values you would like to save. Click Save.

• The next time you refresh the document, click the Available Variants icon and select the variant you'd like to use. All of the values will be filled in and you can simply click Run.
