Event Attendance - How to Take Attendance for a New Event

This tutorial will show you how to take attendance for a new event.
To watch a video tutorial on taking attendance for a new event, check out:
1.) Navigate to the Take Attendance tab. Here you will have the option to create an event for a Unit Group. If you would like to do so, click 'Yes.' If not, click 'No' and skip to step 5. You will only see this option if you have Unit Group access - otherwise, ignore this step. 
Note: A Unit Group can be a variety of things from an RSO to a class.

2.) Select the Unit you want the event to be for from the drop down menu. You will only see this option if you have Unit Group access - otherwise, ignore this step.

3.) Then select the Group you want the event to be for from the second drop down menu. You will only see this option if you have Unit Group access - otherwise, ignore this step.

4.) Once you've selected the Unit and Group, click the green 'Next' button.

5.) You will be brought to the Event Setup page. Here, type in the name of your event and click the green 'Go' button.

6.) Now you can start taking attendance. Type in the UIN or netID of the attendee and hit enter.

7.) The UIN or netID you typed in should appear in the Event Attendees box with a green checkmark on the right hand side. If you see a red "X" instead of the green checkmark, your attendees are not being saved. Type in more UINs and netIDs to continue taking attendance.
