Lynda-LinkedIn Learning UIUC Migration Email

On August 9, this message was sent to all UIUC faculty, staff and students who had logged into Lynda.com in the previous two years. A similar message was sent to active Lynda users on the UIC and UIS campuses.

Lynda.com will upgrade to LinkedIn Learning on Thursday, August 15.
During the upgrade, Lynda.com will be unavailable. We anticipate Lynda.com being down for the entire day.
After the upgrade, you will no longer be able to log into Lynda.com and should log in to LinkedIn Learning instead.

Next week, you will receive a series of automated messages from Lynda.com/LinkedIn.

Examples of emails from Lynda.com/LinkedIn can be found here.
On August 13, Lynda.com/LinkedIn will send an email reminding you that the upgrade will be occurring.
After the upgrade, you will receive a second email requesting to activate your new LinkedIn Learning account. You can click the link in the email or visit LinkedIn Learning and sign in with your NetID and password.
If you do not activate your account, you will get reminders one week and two weeks after the upgrade.
If the emails are ignored entirely, your LinkedIn Learning account can still be activated the next time you log in.

All of the same content and past training histories will still be available on the new LinkedIn Learning platform. If you downloaded the Lynda.com mobile app, you will need to download the new LinkedIn Learning app.

If you have any questions about the upgrade or the validity of any messages or websites that ask for your NetID, please contact the Technology Services Help Desk at 217-244-7000 or consult@illinois.edu.
