HOW TO - Create Shops Work Order in Reaction

This tutorial will walk you through creating a shops work order in Reaction.

Step 1: Choose Shop & Enter NetID

  • Check radio button to select a shop (e.g., Electronic Services, Glass Shop or Machine Shop)
  • Enter a Net ID for the work order - default is the Net Id of the logged-on user. If you do not know the NetID of the person that the work order is for, click Search Net ID from Phonebook link to search from Illinois Directory
  • Click Next

Step 2: Select from Pre-Authorized Accounts or enter the CFOP(A) account manually using either the full account number or the CFOP(A) alias. 

  • Click Validate link on the form to validate the CFOP(A) (optional).  This ensures that the CFOP(A) is listed and valid in Reaction.
  • Click Next

Step 3: Fill in Work Order Form. Upload supporting document (optional)

Electronic Service Work Orders:

    1. Choose the work order is a Normal work order, or it is a High Priority order.
    2. Check if the order Requires Estimate. Default is unchecked
    3. Enter Short Description for Billing Statement (required)
    4. Enter Description of the Work Requested
    5. Filling in other optional information on the form
    6. For "Existing Fabricated Project" orders, please select a project from the list
    7. For "Repair item and Dropped off", fill in Description, Make, Model, Serial Number and optional UIUC Tag Number
    8. Enter Comments to provide more information about the work order
    9. Review information on the form and Submit

 Machine Shop Work Order

    1. Enter Short Description for Billing Statement (required)
    2. Enter Reference to previous job you may have
    3. For "Existing Fabricated Project", please select a project from the list
    4. Enter Comments to provide more information about the work order
    5. Review information on the form and Submit

Glass Shop Work Order

    1. Choose the work order is a Normal work order, or it is a High Priority order.
    2. Check if the order Requires Estimate. Default is unchecked
    3. Enter Short Description for Billing Statement (required)
    4. Enter Description of the work Requested
    5. Filling in other optional information on the form
    6. For "Existing Fabricated Project orders", please select a project from the list
    7. Enter Comments to provide more information about the work order
    8. Review information on the form and Submit
