Digital Signage, Korbyt Windows Player Desktop
Installations of Korbyt Windows Player (KWP) using the full (non-Lite) application have a web configuration interface called KWP Desktop that can be accessed through a web browser. The web configuration interface offers some of the same and additional management tools from Korbyt Anywhere, including:
- Player information
- Setting Output Properties
- Shutdown/Restart Players
- Install Runtime or player versions
- Troubleshooting, such as clearing cache
- View logs
To access the interface, enter the host name or IP address into a web browser.
A log in page will appear (Please contact the Digital Signage Service for the default username and password):
After login, all units are highly encouraged to change the default password. To do so, go to the Security tab, enter the username and default password, and then reset to a new password.
After resetting the password, log out in the upper right-hand corner, and then log back in with the new password.
More information about Accessing KWP Desktop can be found in the Korbyt Knowledge Base.
Warning: In the current KWP version (3.21), the Appliance setting for the Appearance mode does not function correctly and may cause both the player software and Windows explorer to not launch upon next boot of the device. Opening the Task Manager and manually executing the player service script "C:\Program Files\Korbyt Digital Appliance\PlayerStarter.vbs", then rebooting the device after the sign fully loads will usually revert the device to its previous state.
