Denodo Consumers - Connecting to Tableau

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how consumers can connect to Tableau in Denodo.
  1. Open Tableau Desktop.
  2. In the Connect panel, under To a Server, click More.
  3. Select Denodo from the list of Installed Connectors, or use the search function.
  4. Server:
    • datahub.uillinois.edu (Production environment)
    • urbdenododev1.admin.uillinois.edu (Dev environment)
    • urbdenodotest1.admin.uillinois.edu (QA environment)
  5. Port: 9996
  6. Database: enter the name of your VDB in Denodo. (ex. doc_vdb)
  7. Username: your NetID
  8. Password: your AD password
  9. Click Sign In.
  10. The Database drop down will list your VDB in Denodo along with the logical_data_warehouse.
