- Make sure you are in Design mode (ALT+2).
- In the Analyze section of the Toolbar, click More and select Formatting Rules.
- The Manage Formatting Rules window appears. Click Add Rule icon in the bottom right corner.
- In the Create Rule window, you'll name your rule, add the condition (Expense Amt >= $5,000,000, in this example), and configure the formatting of the cell contents for cells that meet your condition.
- The conditional formatting defaults to red text, but changes to the displayed value, text, background and border are all possible by clicking the Format button.
