How to use the A/V podium in Moss Auditorium and similar spaces.

On the Crestron touchscreen, touch anywhere to turn on the podium system.

A countdown will appear and disappear when the system is ready.

VIDEO

To present in this room, select Presentation on the left section under the UIC logo.

Press and drag the desired source into the projector window and to the preview monitor.

Use the USB port on top of the podium to connect a thumb drive to the room computer.

If you are not using the room computer, connect your laptop using the provided HDMI or USB-C cable (depending on your laptop’s available connections).

Then select "Laptop' and drag to room displays.

AUDIO

This room has 4 microphones for use. 1 Podium, 3 handheld wireless microphones.

The microphone volume is already optimized.

If necessary, individual microphones can be adjusted at the Microphone Control tab.

Speaker volume is already optimized for the room.

If the speaker volume needs to be adjusted, use the master volume control at the top next to the UIC logo.

The podium microphone only needs to be set near the 2/3 mark for best performance.

EXITING INSTRUCTIONS

Turn off the room system when done.

In the top right corner, press “System OFF” and confirm that you want to shut down by pressing the green “Yes, Shutdown” button.

DO NOT shut down the room PC.

A progress screen will pop up to indicate that the shutdown process has started.
