What is the Network Security Vulnerability Scanner?

Network Scanning is a scan engine with a web-based interface that can be used to perform an external scan of your computer system. This comprehensive scan looks for potential vulnerabilities that could be used by remote attackers to control or access sensitive data on a system.

Students, staff and faculty can use Network Scanning to scan their own computers for vulnerabilities. Departmental Network Security Liaisons can use Network Scanning to audit all hosts in zones they manage.

A current UIC NetID and password are required to authenticate.

There is no charge for this service.
