I just received my loaner laptop from my college, what should I do next?

Links to download university provided software necessary for remote learning

You have just received your loaner laptop from your college which you will use to continue your education while your clasess are held remotely.  What should you do next?

- Unbox and inspect your laptop for any damages
- Reply to the email that you received from Technology Solutions which included the serial number and UPS tracking number of your laptop and confirm with Technology Solutions that you have received your laptop and confirmed there are no damages
- Turn on your laptop and follow the setup prompts
- Before installing any software please download and install any operating system updates.  For Windows 10, type "updates" in the search box and then click on "Check for updates".  For Google Chromebooks, click on the time at the bottom right of the screen, select Settings then select Check for updates

The software listed below is licensed by the university and can be downloaded and installed from the WebStore on the loaner laptop that you received from your college.
