Zoom, Meetings, Issues joining a restricted meeting or webinar

This article details how to access a Zoom meeting that is restricted to Illinois Zoom accounts (Illinois email accounts).

If Illinois Zoom participants attempt to join a meeting or webinar and are presented with the warning, "The host requires participants to be signed in with a Zoom account", please follow the steps below to access the meeting.

Join from the Zoom desktop application

  1. Click Sign In
    Sign in to join this meeting

  2. Follow the instructions at Zoom, Logging in, to log into the desktop application.

Join from a browser

  1. Click Sign In
    Notifcation that a Zoom meeting requires participants to sign in.
  2. Select SSO from the login screen

  3. Enter Illinois as the company domain

  4. Complete the Illinois sign-in process through Microsoft

Join from the Zoom mobile application

  1. Click Sign In
    Zoom mobile sign in to join meeting

  2. Follow the instructions at Zoom, Logging in, to sign in to the Zoom mobile application.
